The 39-year-old actor is set to narrate Jory John’s I Love You Already on the Bedtime Story segment of the children’s show on February 14.
The Hollywood hunk – who has portrayed Gaston in Beauty and The Beast – was honoured to take on the project, and has hailed the venture a “fun experience”.
Speaking to the BBC, he said: “Filming CBeebies Bedtime Stories was such a pleasure – what a fun experience.”
The Girl On The Train star was “pleased” to be able to bring the characters to life so his own family can enjoy the reading.
He continued: “I’m so pleased to bring these books to life for families all across the UK, and of course all my family’s and friend’s kids, and my own awesome godchildren.”
The book, illustrated by Benji Davies, will explore the tight bond two friends, Bear and Duck, share.
Luke is not the first A-lister to have appeared during the segment.
Music legends Dolly Parton and Sir Elton John have previously read out a story on the show.
While Game Of Thrones beauty Natalie Dormer and Tom Hardy have fronted the slot last year and the year before, respectively.
Will Young recently confirmed he will also be taking centre stage on the Bedtime Story segment.
The singer is set to read a story about same sex parents to mark LGBTQ month.
Bedtime Stories airs on CBeebies every day at 6.50pm. [Source]
